Box Trapper - Anti SPAM software

This SPAM prevention application resides on our mail server.

BoxTrapper protects the inbox from spam by requiring all email senders not on your white list to reply to a verification email before they can send mail to you.

Its a painless process, the initiating person sends an email, boxtrapper replies, asking them to verify that its their email (by just replying), once they reply to the verification message, their message is delivered to the email address.
This process should only happen once. If you do get another request, chances are they used a different email address to send to your last time. That's fine, they should just reply to the validation message again.

How does this help us? Most SPAM is generated by automated software, which scans web pages looking for email addresses. That software is bound to discover your web page sometime soon, and start sending SPAM to your email address. BoxTrapper stops this, because the software they use currently does not reply to the verification emails and those emails end up on your black list (and you don't have to worry about them). It also helps you in not having to filter through the spam messages and perhaps missing a genuine email. Furthermore it also helps reduce traffic on the server, which ultimately could cost you if you went over the limit.
